Watercolour Bloom and Grow

Hey Folks! I mentioned a week or so ago about how much I love the new Bloom and Grow stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I’ve had a heap of fun playing with it, and have a stack of cards already made with it that I’ll share over the coming weeks and months. Today’s card is fun mix of heat embossing and watercolour…

I couldn’t wait to have a play with some watercolouring and this stamp set, and although I will be doing some more detailed watercolouring of this stamp, today’s card is more of a loose watercolour wash effect.

The stamp set has 3 pretty floral, almost boarder, stamps. All three are quite different but all would work for this card. Here I’ve heat embossed the stamp in Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder onto a piece of Watercolour Paper.

I pulled out 3 bold colours for this watercolour; Rich Razzleberry, Shaded Spruce and Blueberry Bushel. This watercolour effect is really easy to create using an Aqua-painter. Just get that water-y ink onto the card stock, clean the brush and on with the next colour; leaving colours to mix together on the paper and dry with hard edges.

The sentiment is also from Bloom and Grow and has been heat embossed in matching Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
