Make It Monday | Quick and easy Perennial Birthday Day Card

Simple Man's birthday card using Perennial Birthday from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Quick and easy Perennial Birthday Day Card

Make It Monday

This weekend I spent most of my time in my craft room, I have finally managed to get myself a little ahead with videos, filmed 7 on Saturday and then my fortnightly Facebook Live yesterday. However, today’s video is quite possibly the shortest tutorial I have ever filmed!

Make It Monday Simple Stamped Birthday Card with Perennial Birthday from Stampin' Up!

When making cards for men, I tend to keep things simple. Often I’ll keep to single layer, and while this card has a couple matts, I think you could count this in that category.

The Happy Birthday uses one of my ‘go-to’ simple stamping techniques; Repeat Stamping. The stamp was actually only inked 3 times to get the effect… check the video to see how it’s done!

This card uses my standard card sizes. You can find them over on my Standard Card Measurements Page.

This card was finished with a splatter of Basic Black ink, splattered using a Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

International Blog Highlights | Petal Palette card for Sara!

Petal Palette Fancy Fold Card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights using Stampin' Up! products

StampinByHannah International Blog Highlights Petal Palette card for Sara!

Kylies International Blog Highlight banner

You know you’ve had a busy month when Facebook reminds you that not only do you have 5 events this week that you can’t remember… but that one of them is Kylie’s International Blog Highlights, and you can’t even remember what the theme is! Yes, this was me first thing on Monday morning… and if it wasn’t for our May Day Bank Holiday in the UK this post would not be here!

Fun Joy Fold Card using Petal Palette from Stampin' Up!

This month’s Blog Highlight theme is Cards for Sara! I LOVE this idea… Sara Douglass is the CEO of Stampin’ Up! and she is incredible. So, to celebrate this Kylie has tasked us with creating a special card for her to say Thanks! Now, remember how I said I’d forgotten about this… well, in my panic to find some inspiration at 07:30 on a Monday morning, I jumped onto Sara’s Facebook Page and found one of the cards that Stampin’ Up! have sent to one of the recent Million Dollar Sellers. These cards are always so detailed, with heaps of layers, Designer Series Paper, embellishments and ribbons…. and so this card was born!

How to make a fancy fold Joy Fold card using Petal Palette and Petal Passion from Stampin' Up!

I’ve recently been breaking down my layers for you… and so I’ll do the same thing here!

  • Card Base; Fresh Fig – 14.85 x 15.75 cm, scored on the log side at 10.5 cm
  • Bermuda Bay Layers; 10 x 14.3 cm, 4.8 x 14.3 cm, 6.5 x 10.8 cm
  • Card Base; Powder Pink – 12 x 10.3 cm, scored on the long side at 6 cm
  • Petal Passion Designer Series Paper – 9.5 x 13.8 cm, 4.3 x 13.8 cm, 5.5 x 12.8 cm
  • Vellum Pretty Label
  • Die Cut in Fresh Fig using the Petals and More thinlits
  • Bird stamped in Bermuda Bay and die cut
  • Sentiment from Petal Palette stamped in Fresh Fig
  • Powder Pink stamped flower
  • Trio of Basic Rhinestones

Petal Palette Fancy Fold Card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights using Stampin' Up! products

The Petal Palette stamp set and Petals and More thinlits are both carrying over in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue (Yay!)… but the bundle of the two items together is retiring. So, if you want them both, I’d grab them before the end of May and save yourself 10%! The stunning Petal Passion Designer Series Paper is on the Retiring List…. and it’s now while stocks last!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and please do head over to Kylie’s Blog to see the other Projects for her International Blog Highlights and to vote for you favourite creations!

Team Training Cards using Retiring Ink Colours…

Stampin' Up! Retiring Colours Colour Revamp card using Beautiful Bouquet from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Team Training Cards using Retiring Ink Colours…

I have 2 fabulous cards to share with you today! Before we get to them though, I do what to let you know about the Retiring List. The WHOLE list is now While Stocks Last…. so RUN and grab your favourites now! I also have to say that I wrote this blog post a while ago, and so some of the colours on these cards might not be available!

Beautiful Bouquet sparkly friendship card using Stampin' Up! products

These 2 cards both use the fabulous Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. Now, I actually haven’t bought this one! These cards were a fabulous make and take project from a recent team training event… but I think I am convinced that these stamps need to find a home on my stamp shelves! Actually, I need to do it sooner rather than later, as the stamp and coordinating die bundle (that saves you 10%) retires at the end of the month…. better get my skates on!

Marina Mist and Chocolate Chip Friendship card using Beautiful Bouquet from Stampin' Up!

This first card uses a combination of Marina Mist, Chocolate Chip and Pear Pizzazz (and a touch of Wink of Stella!)…. and it got a LOT of ‘ooh’s! at the event!

Marina Mist and Chocolate Chip are just 2 of the colours retiring at the end of the month. While I am sad to see them go, I am SO excited about the new colours coming! My new ink pads arrive in my craft room this week, and I’ll share my pre-order with you on Facebook Live on Sunday Morning!

You can find more information about the up-coming Colour Revamp HERE!

How to use small stamps to create a fun Thank You card using Beautiful Bouquet from Stampin' Up!

This second card uses the retiring Sweet Sugarplum, Marina Mist and Perfect Plum, along with Pear Pizzazz. I LOVE the layered stamp look here, its a great way to get more from those little stamps!

Make It Monday | Share What You Love Gorgeous!

Make It Monday Happy Birthday using Share What You Love from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Share What You Love Gorgeous!

Make It Monday

I’ve been a little obsessed with the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper recently. I still have heaps of samples using it to share with you from my Display Board from Stampin’ Up! OnStage back at the beginning of April…. so many that I might just do a really long post with all the cards on! I was planning on spreading them out over a few weeks, but I’m having a lovely period of creativity at the moment, and I keep making more!

Today’s card combines the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper with one of my favourite stamp sets from the past year; Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

Make It Monday Happy Birthday Gorgeous meets Share What You Love from Stampin' Up! Birthday Card Video Tutorial

This fun card features a large piece of that Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, along with one of those beautiful Pearlised Doilies. I will admit I wasn’t convinced by these new doilies when I first got my hands on them, but the more I’ve used them the most I LOVE them. The Pearlised finish is only on one side, the other side is a matt white….so they could be any colour you choose, you just need to grab an ink pad and a sponge! Love that! The Designer Series Paper and the Doilies are both part of the Share What You Love Early Release Bundles… check them out!

I have been playing a lot with layers recently, and this card shows that off too! Ready for the card recipe?

  • Mint Macaron Card Base; 29.7 x 10.5 cm, scored on the long side at 14.85 cm
  • Basic Black card stock; 13.3 x 9 cm
  • Share What You Love Designer Series Paper; 12.8 x 8.5 cm
  • Half a Pearlised Doily
  • Half a Pretty Label punched out of Champagne Foil Sheet
  • 2 Leaves punched from Vellum using the Leaf punch
  • Classic Label punch stamped with 2 stamps from Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Make It Monday How to make a birthday card using Patterned Paper using Share What You Love from Stampin' Up!

The Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set can currently be found on the Retiring List…. but it’s not going anywhere. It’s featured on the Retiring List because it is currently bundled with a fabulous Happy Birthday Thinlit die, and the bundle is being retired at the end of this years Annual Catalogue. The bundle price allows you to save 10% when you buy the stamp set and die together, so I’d be grabbing this one sooner rather than later to get that discount!

What is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator? and why you want to be one!

Stampin' Up! Spring Summer catalogue

StampinByHannah What is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator? and why you want to be one!

Welcome to Stampin Up! Team Banner

Becoming a part of Stampin’ Up! might be one of the best things I have ever done! I have talked about what Stampin’ Up! has done for me before, but today I want to talk to you about what it means to be a Demonstrator… and why it’s really not scary!

What is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator?

Ok, so I’m not so sure about the word ‘Demonstrator’ in this sentence! Because it implies that you need to Demonstrate something… that is not the case! A Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is simply someone who has bought a Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit (best deal in the catalogue!)… and gets 20% discount on their crafty purchases. Some Demonstrators choose to just buy for themselves, while others make fabulous businesses out of it, some do craft fairs and live classes, some prefer to sit behind a camera and make YouTube videos, some simply just craft with their friends.

Stampin' Up! UK Starter Kit

What does it take to become a Demonstrator?

All you have to do is buy a Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit! That is it! The kit costs £99…. and is fully customisable (you choose what goes in it!). You get to pick £130 worth of crafty goodies to put in your kit, and Stampin’ Up! throw in a pack of catalogues, and some other handy bits and pieces too.

Your Demonstrator period lasts a minimum of 3 months… if you join today you would remain a Demonstrator without spending anything else until the end of September. However, you can continue your Demonstratorship by selling (or shopping) approximately £270 worth of Stampin’ Up! goodies! If you don’t reach this value nothing bad or scary happens (The Stampin’ Up! police don’t come to your door and demand your crafty stash back!)… you first have a Pending month, before you drop back to be a happy customer.

Stampin' Up1 OnStage

What are the benefits of being a Demonstrator?

Oh man… there are SO many! Where shall I start?

  • 20% Discount on your Stampin’ Up! purchases
  • Catalogue Pre-order periods
  • Access to Stampin’ Up! events
  • An Exclusive magazine; Stampin’ Success
  • Invitations to a fabulous Demonstrator community on Facebook
  • Opportunities to attend team events and retreats
  • The chance to earn a holiday
  • Inspiration
  • Friendships
  • and much much more…

Why join during May?

The Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit is a great deal any month… but May is a great time to join! Demonstrators are currently able to pre-order from the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Annual catalogue, and you can add these goodies into your Starter Kit too!

With the changes to the Stampin’ Up! colour families and inks, grabbing a Starter Kit is a great way to get all the colours at a discount!

You could add the Share What You Love Bundles to your Starter Kit and get them for even better value!

How do I join?

It’s easy…. just follow THIS link to complete your order of a Starter Kit!
