Make It Monday Fold Flat Giftbag Tutorial using Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Fold Flat Giftbag

Make It Monday

I have a super cute video tutorial for you today! One of my favourite Christmas traditions is planning my gift wrapping, and these would make really sweet gift wrap for a special present.

Make It Monday Fold Flat Giftbag Tutorial using Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!These are super quick and simple to make… even the video is only 6 minutes long! I have used the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper for both of these bags. This paper really did not shout ‘buy me’ when I saw it in the catalogue, but I got a sample in a Paper Share (more on those coming soon!) and feel in love with some of the B sides! It is always worth remembering that there are two sides to a piece of paper.

Measurements:

Designer Series Paper; 12 x 6″ (30.5 x 15 cm)

Score on the long side at 5-1/2 and 11″ (14 and 28 cm)

Score on the short side at 1″ (2.5 cm)

I grab two stamp sets for the sweet tags on these bags. The black bag has a tag using Christmas Pines, while the green one uses You’re So Sweet. Both bags are closed with one of my MUST HAVE products, the Gold Library Clips. Right, I’m off to buy more clips! See you again tomorrow for more fun Stampin’ Up! projects

Inspire.Create.Challenges #003 | ‘Tis The Season

Fun Christmas Card for Inspire.Create.Challenges using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up!

Hello! Oh, I am so excited for today’s blog post…. The Inspire.Create.Challenge Design Team have a heap of fun Festive inspiration for you today so do click over and see everyone else’s projects too!

I am loving being a part of the Inspire.Create.Challenges Team, and I would LOVE to see you join in with our challenges too.

This fortnight’s challenge is to create a Festive project! Now… when I sent this challenge out to the ladies I had many emails back going ‘Festive… is that Christmas?!’…. well, no. Festive could be anything, a celebration… you could make an Easter project if that really floats your boat!

I have gone for Festive = Christmas… but only because that it what I am working on in my Craftroom at the moment and I have Christmas stamps everywhere! However… I have pulled one of the Christmas stamp sets from the Annual catalogue rather than this years Autumn/Winter (which is awesome by the way!)

Fun Christmas Card for Inspire.Create.Challenges using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up!

This stamp set was my absolute favourite from last years Autumn/Winter catalogue and I was SO excited to see it carry forward into the Annual this past year. Christmas Pines has a fun collection of pinecones, leaves, and GORGEOUS sentiments… . I am such a sucker for  pretty font and this set is full of pretty fonts!

I have written a full tutorial that you can print… that you can find HERE!

Fun Christmas Card for Inspire.Create.Challenges using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up!
Isn’t that cluster so pretty?! I stamped the Pine Leaves stamp 3 times in Old Olive, without re-inking inbetween to create a dimensional look. Then I used the Pretty Pines Thinlits to die cut 3 different sized leaves from Old Olive card stock and added them over the top of the stamping with Glue Dots.
Those Pine Cones are also in the Christmas Pines stamp set and have been embossed in Gold before being die cut with the coordinating Pretty Pines dies. The cluster is then finished with that gorgeous bow in Real Red card stock….. finally, I bow I can make look pretty!
I would LOVE to see your festive creations this week… check the Inspire.Create.Challenges blog to enter.

How cute is that Designer Series Paper?! This is Warmth and Cheer; I love this paper stack, for a start it has awesome festive patterns and some really lovely colour combinations, but also it’s 6 x 6″ pad, which makes is awesome for Card making, AND its only £9!

Measurements:

Card Base – Crumb Cake – 21 x 14.8 cm, scored on the long side at 10.5 cm

Basic Black Layer – 10 x 14.3 cm

Whisper White – 13.8 x 6 cm

Designer Series Paper – 13.8 x 6 cm

Christmas Countdown Video Tutorial using Christmas Pines and Warmth and Cheer from Stampin' Up! UK

My favourite part of this card is that POP of copper! not only the Copper Metallic Thread, but that super shiny pine cone die cut from Copper Foil Paper – so pretty

Easy Christmas Pines Card using Stampin' Up! UK products

The die cuts are adhered using Fine-Tip Glue. I have a couple of top tips for using this great adhesive:

  1. Stick with it! At first I wasn’t a fan, but as I have continued to use it, it gets easier – partly because I’ve learned it’s properties and therefore can control it better, but also because the bottle isn’t full anymore, making it easier to use.
  2. Use it one the silicone mat – saves me sticky fingers!
  3. You only need a tiny amount, can you see where it has spread on this card … that’s because I used too much (Ooops!) but I blame the video camera!

Flower Patch Christmas Wreath

This card has been sat on my desk for weeks (actually it might even be months!) and I just haven’t got around to sharing it with you, I have no idea why, because I really love it! I think it was inspired by someone, maybe Steffi Helmschrott, but it has been that long since I made it that I cannot remember!

Flower Patch Christmas Card using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up! UK

I love finding alternative uses for Stamp sets, and the wreath is actually created using the leaves stamps from Flower Patch. One of the great bonuses to using photopolymer stamps is being able to manipulate the images, and here I have bent the stamp into a curve. They are stamped in Emerald Envy, stamped off once for a softer look

Christmas Wreath using Flower Patch and Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up! UK

The sentiment is from Christmas Pines and is stamped and heat embossed in Copper onto Vellum, so pretty.

Christmas Pines | Tis the Season (well, almost….)

Tis the Season Christmas Card using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up! UK

Ok, so ‘The Season’ hasn’t quite arrived yet, but the time to start on your Christmas cards has! I know that Christmas prep has well and truly started in our house; lists of presents, thoughts of making Christmas Cake (chose not to bother, just defrosted 1 tier of our wedding cake instead!), plans for Christmas day, questions about which days we are working and which days are ours! as well as the endless debate over the colour theme for this year! So, maybe Tis the Season still fits….

Tis the Season Christmas Card using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up! UK

So because we are now in the lead up to ‘The Season’ I’ve been put on a No Spend! Does this happen to anyone else? Where you are not allowed to buy anything before Christmas? I mean, we are really trying to save for our house deposit at the moment too, but anyway I am on an enforce ‘No Spend!’ and so I have only actually bought 3 stamp sets from the Autumn / Winter catalogue (and choosing which ones I was going to have was REALLY hard!) Anyway, the Christmas Pines bundle was my MUST HAVE set in this catalogue, and I have already made a heap of cards with this set. I have another coming this week if you are subscribed to my Weekly Emails.

Christmas Card Using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up! UKSo, this card uses the Christmas Pines bundle, along with the Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper (Yum! by the way!) and the Emerald Envy Ombre Stamp pad, oh and a trio of In Colour Enamel Shapes.

Pootlers Blog Hop | Christmas Pines

Pootles Blog Hop Autumn Winter Stampin Up! Catalogue Christmas Pines

bog hop-001

Hello! Welcome to our fabulous Pootler’s Team Blog Hop! We have 19 wonderful ladies blogging together today to show you heaps of great project ideas using new products from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn / Winter catalogue. Please use the Next and Previous buttons to navigate to the next blog in the chain, and remember to leave some comment love on your travels!

Simple Christmas Card using Christmas pines from Stampin' Up! UkI have been having so much fun play with the Present and Pine-cones Suite from the new catalogue (page 18-22), and am totally in love with the idea of an Emerald Envy Christmas this year! I am not usually a green and red sort of person, I love a cool Christmas of blues, purples and silver, but this colour might just have me converted!

The Suite includes the Christmas Pines stamp and die bundle, as well as Designer Series Paper, Washi Tape, Ribbons, a great embossing folder and some super cute mini pine-cone embellishments.

Pootles Christmas Card using Stampin' Up! Uk Christmas PinesThe front panel of this card was embossed twice using the Pine Bough Embossing Folder to create an almost fully embossed panel. Really this card is pretty simple, with a few die cuts and some copper embossing (more of that on Monday!), but I think this would be a super easy card to make a few of for friends and colleagues for Christmas
