StampinByHannah Thoughtful Thursday OnStage Team Gifts…

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator StampinByHannah Thoughtful Thursday

Thoughtful Thursday is the day of the week when I share things that I have sent, that have made me happy, or have formed part of my Mindfulness practice this week.

This week’s Thoughtful Thursday project is 3 cute little gifts I took with me to Stampin’ Up! OnStage a fortnight ago. Usually I go all out and make 50+ swaps; a set of similar projects that are swapped with other demonstrators for ideas and inspiration. However, this last few months have been pretty busy, and I just didn’t get chance to make anything (although my friend Angelina from Intatwyne Designs did remind me when I got there that I had made a heap of swaps for April’s event that I hadn’t used…… which I had completely forgotten about and STILL haven’t found!).

Stampin' Up! OnStage Sour Cream Team Gifts handcream Just for you Thoughtful Thursday using Stampin' Up! products

I bought some handcream mini’s for my team leader and 2 of my team mates. I am super privileged to be a part of a wonderfully supportive team, but 2 of the girls are just always there. We cheer each other on, share our bad days, and generally have a right laugh! So, to say thanks for putting up with me…. I wanted to give them a little something.

These were super simple to put together, they are a pretty classic Sour Cream Style pocket. I have made these before, and have a video tutorial on them too!

The daisy’s on the front of these was made using the fabulous Daisy Punch. They both use two daisy’s one in Whisper White, sponged with Night of Navy ink, and one punched in Night of Navy sponged with White ink.

Each gift had a tag on, using the Everyday Label punch and Merry Little Labels stamp set.

Christmas Countdown | Cutlery Wraps using Merry Little Christmas

Christmas Countdown Super Sized Treat Pockets Video Tutorial using Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Christmas Countdown Cutlery Wraps using Merry Little ChristmasChristmas Countdown Video Tutorial Series StampinByHannah Stampin' Up! UK

I have been seeing this project all over Pinterest… but as a dinky treat holder, so today I am super-sizing it and making a fun Cutlery Wrap for you Christmas table!

Christmas Countdown Super Sized Treat Pockets Video Tutorial using Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

These are a little extravagant… they use a WHOLE sheet of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper, but I think they are so worth it. Particularly with this pack of DSP, this is Merry Little Christmas, the perfect mix of festive prints and generic patterns in Old Olive, Basic Black and Whisper White. It is certainly one of my Christmas Top Picks this year! I love it!

The wraps are super simple to put together and you could do 6 or 8 for your Christmas table in minutes. When I was talking to James about these he suggested adding some tissue paper for some extra dimension which would totally finish these off! I’m seeing maybe gold or silver napkins in these….

Measurements:

Designer Series Paper – 12 x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm0

Fold in half, diagonally, corner to corner

Then, with the folded, flat edge facing you, take on of the corners and fold it across. Creating a second flat edge, about halfway up your triangle. Fold the second corner over to match.

These don’t require any adhesive, as you then fold the top layer of the top of the triangle down, which holds the other two folds in place

(I think I probably explain this better in the video!)

These wraps are finished with a touch of stamping using Merry Little Labels and some die cutting with my favourite combination; Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Circles.

What are you planning for your Christmas table this year?

These use the GORGEOUS Coffee Break Designer Series Paper… I grabbed this as part of the recent Designer Series Paper sale, and now I know that I NEED to get the stamp set too! I mean… self confessed coffee addict over here and I don’t have a coffee themed stamp set?! Something wrong there I think!

Measurements:

Coffee Break Designer Series Paper – 5 x 4-1/2″ (12.5 x 11 cm)

Score on the SHORT side at 2 and 4″ (5 and 10 cm)

This Designer Series Paper actually matches some of the dies in the coordinating die set, Coffee Cups Framelits. However, I fussy cut these cups myself.

The stamp is taken from Merry Little Labels (seriously, cannot get enough of this set!) and punched out with the Everyday Label punch.

Global Design Project #109 | Just For You

Global Design Project Just For You Watercolour Card using Merry Little Christmas from Stampin' Up!

I had a busy day in my craft room yesterday… but was really struggling to get creative. So, I turned to an old favourite – the Global Design Project – for some fabulous inspiration.

This week they are featuring a Colour Challenge…. and what a great combination they are working with!

The Old Olive and Black colour combination immediately pointed me at the lovely Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper from the Autumn Winter Catalogue… this festive paper features just three colours (Basic Black, Old Olive and Whisper White) and a range of Christmas/Winter-y images and more generic patterns. This paper is paired with the Merry Little Labels bundle in the catalogue and I have also carried that through onto this card.

Global Design Project Just For You Watercolour Card using Merry Little Christmas from Stampin' Up!

This is one of those cards with lots of layers of detail; from the Old Olive watercolour wash, to the punched Vellum Pretty label, the Loops of Gold Metallic Thread to the Gold Heat Embossed leaves from Painted Harvest!

Global Design Project Old Olive and Basic Black Christmas Card using Merry Little Labels and Painted Harvest from Stampin' Up!

I have another project this week with this colour combination…. check back on Friday for something extra special!
