Just Add Ink 443 | Colouring Flowing Fountain from Stampin’ Up!

Oh dear, I am so sorry for a lack of a Facebook Live today. But, for the second time in 2 weeks I’ve come down with a cold, and no one wants to hear me cough and splutter through making a card! However, I do have my entry for this week’s Just Add Ink Challenge to make up for it!

Just Add Ink 443 Just Choose Two

It’s been ages since I did this type of challenge! Saying this my choice was made pretty easy seeing as my last post of Embossing Paste went in the bin before we moved house… as it had set like rock! Note to self: buy some more because the stuff is AWESOME! So, that left me with Colouring and Sequins!

Just Add Ink adding colour to Flowing Fountain from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I have been loving the Flowing Fountain stamp set this month. It’s so easy to colour too! I’ve added coloured highlights using a Blender pen and Night of Navy, Mango Melody and Soft Seafoam ink to match the pretty Designer Series Paper behind.

I couldn’t help but use the oh so pretty Stitched Rectangles Framelits that arrived in my craft room this week on this card. You guys know that I am such a sucker for a stitched shape and so these HAD to find a place with me! I have to say though, they are slightly awkward to use on A4 card stock as they have been designed to fit US Letter sized papers. However, by purposely positioning them off centre I think you can cover this up.

Before I go, I just want to remind you that tomorrow (11th February 2019) is the last day to book onto this month’s Card Class…. you can find all the information HERE!

Flowing Fountain and Cling Mount Stamps | Facebook Live

Hello! well… I usually post these blog posts slightly earlier in the day, but I’ve been busy prepping for my first Card Class of 2019 on Tuesday, filming a couple of tutorials and taking a bunch of pictures for upcoming blog posts… so things have been a little delayed today.

It’s Sunday, Facebook Live day here at StampinByHannah, and this week I thought I would give you some of my Cling Mount Stamp Top Tips!

Stampin’ Up! changed the formulation of the stickers that go on the backs of your red rubber stamps with the launch of the Spring Summer catalogue. These new Cling stamps are SUPER sticky, so there is NO chance that your going to have that awful moment where your freshly inked stamp falls off the block onto your 99% completed project ever again.

Cling Mount Top Tips

  1. Get those stickers on your Stamps! I NEVER used the clear mount stickers (because they just didn’t work!) but these are ace
  2. Once you’ve got your sticker on the stamp, its not coming back off, so use the outside edges of the stamp to ensure perfect alignment of the sticker and the stamp
  3. New Cling stickers are SUPER sticky; I find that removing some of the inital stickiness by putting the stamp on and off of your trousers / top / cardigan can be useful
  4. Add a little bit of Washi Tape to one end of your new Cling stickers to help you get your stamps back off your blocks. Please do not that the stickers are so sticky that you are at risk of ripping your stamps when taking them off of blocks or out of the case
  5. Use the flat end of your Take Your Pick tool to get your stamps off your block
  6. Have lots of fun using them!

I only made one card on this morning’s Facebook Live, but I do think it was a good one…

Quick and Easy card using Flowing Fountain from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

Flowing Fountain is one of those stamp set in the catalogue that is so easily missed, which is such a shame because it’s so pretty. I’ve actually taken inspiration from the catalogue for this card, as it uses the same technique as used by Stampin’ Up!
