Love What You Do Divided Sweetie Box…

StampinByHannah Love What You Do Divided Sweetie Box…

So, today I thought I would re-visit a project I shared on this very blog about 3 years ago! I cannot believe that I have been sharing with you here for over 4 years now, I LOVE reading all your comments but I would also love to see if you have made something inspired by something I have shared too. You can share your work with me over on my Facebook Page or, if you don’t want the world to see it, drop me an email! You never know, I might even pop something in the post to you as a Thank you!

How to make a fun box with a cut out lid using Square Framelits and Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

For all I’m calling these Divided Sweetie Boxes they would also look super cute on your desk holding all those paper clips, elastic bands and other random desk junk (do other people have this… or is it just me?!). Both of these boxes actually use the same piece of Designer Series Paper from the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper Pack, don’t you love when you can’t decide which side of the paper you love more and have to make two of something just because?! Or is that just me as well!

Measurements:

Card stock for the box base: 6 x 6″ (15 x 15 cm)

Score on all 4 sides at 1″ (2.5 cm)

Designer Series Paper for the box lid: 5-9/16 x 5-9/16″ (14.3 x 14.3 cm)

Score on all 4 sides at 3/4″ (2 cm)

Card stock for dividers: 1 piece that measures 4 x 5-1/2″ (10 x 13.8 cm) and 2 pieces that measure 2 x 5-1/2″ (5 x 13.8 cm)

Score at 2″ (5 cm) on each end and then flip the card stock over and score again at 2-3/4″ (6.9 cm)

The most special part of these boxes for me is the Square cut out windows. In the original box I cut these by hand because I didn’t have a square die, but for this version I used the Layering Square Dies to cut the window and made the cute Crumb Cake frames too. These frames are really easy to make; first cut the straight edged square from a piece of card stock, then cut a scalloped square out around that one to create a frame. You can see exactly how I did this in the video tutorial above.

I would love to see your creations this weekend, I’ll be back tomorrow with a fun blog hop with the InspireINK team, hope to see you then!
